This policy explains how Smiths Stoves ("we") uses information you provide through smithsstoves.co.uk.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we collect your name, telephone number, email address, property postcode, details about your project and any photographs you choose to upload.

Enquiries are stored in Lovable Cloud. Uploaded photographs are stored privately and used to assess your room, fireplace and proposed installation; they are not published in our portfolio without separate permission. Only send photographs you have permission to share, and avoid including people or sensitive documents.

How we use it

We use this information only to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation and, if you go ahead, carry out and certify your installation. Our lawful basis is your consent and steps taken at your request before entering a contract.

Sharing and retention

We don't sell your data or use it for marketing. Information may be shared where needed to complete your installation (for example, statutory notification of certified work). Our retention policy for enquiries that do not proceed, including their photographs, is 7 days after we determine that the enquiry will not proceed. Records needed for an installation or legal obligations are handled separately.

Your rights

Cookies

This website currently uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. If that changes, we'll ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookies.

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser request information when those files are requested. Website hosting may also process technical diagnostics to keep the site working; these are not used by us for advertising.
